First elected to Parliament in 2005 I approach all I do with integrity, honesty and trustworthiness. Currently Deputy President, I Chair a number of Committees, including the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), overseeing a significant increase in scrutiny of government spending & policy decisions, inc., the proposed stadium at Macquarie Point. 

I have lived on the NW Coast my whole life & live in Wynyard. I support many community organisations and am Patron of Huntington’s Tasmania & serve on Boards of Unconformity & Engender Equality.

I remain a vocal advocate for North West Tasmania & regularly visit all parts of my large electorate focussing on local community engagement to continue to represent your views & priorities in Parliament as I have for many years, most recently during the NW COVID-19 outbreak, Cam River Bridge damage & with access to housing & health services. I am available in person, by phone, email & social media, attending public meetings/events to ensure I hear as many voices as possible.

I re-nominate to continue this important work, holding the government of the day to account, ensuring timely & comprehensive scrutiny of government policy & decision making.

I remain open to all views, respectfully agreeing to disagree when appropriate. I actively seek opinions of others & continue to actively engage in Parliamentary Committee/scrutiny of government decisions to promote transparency to hold the government of the day to account.
